Puddle Chasing

It rained today, so we went puddle-chasing with the dogs (they love puddles more than anything). Because of lack of light, most of the pictures weren't great. However, we got a few interesting ones.

I took these of Turk on the move, with only the face in focus:






I'm still trying to figure out the best type of weather for pictures. It was a little dark today, so the details weren't clear. Does anyone have any suggestions about the best time of day or weather for pictures?
